Claim:
Ronnie Boyd was arrested outside of City Hall for several charges including battery and was sentenced to 6 days of incarceration plus fines.

Mr. Boyd arrived at City Hall early in the day to check the status of his gun license. Upon entering City Hall, Mr. Boyd was approached and solicited by a panhandler on the steps. Mr. Boyd explained that he had no money to give, upon that statement, he was then harassed, insulted, and assaulted by other bystanders.

After walking away and into City Hall, Mr. Boyd grabbed the attention of an officer and reported the assault. The officer did not investigate the claims.

Mr. Boyd then exited City Hall when he was approached and taunted by another individual who then engaged in mutual combat with Mr. Boyd. Upon prevailing victorious in the match, a second individual approached Mr. Boyd with a firearm drawn. Mr. Boyd then put his hands in the air saying, "Don't Shoot". Moments later, the individual then shot Mr. Boyd two times in the shoulder.

Many officers arrived and detained all parties involved including Mr. Boyd after treating his wounds. After the officer's questioning, Mr. Boyd was told that he would be released after cooling off in the officers patrol car. Another officer who had not yet made contact with Mr. Boyd, began questioning. The officer then introduced false statements about what was said by Mr. Boyd.

Mr. Boyd did have a Bodycam on at the time of the incident and is prepared to prove to the court, that these officers acted unprofessionally, violated his rights, introduced false/misleading evidence, and ultimately wrongfully imprisoned him.

Demand:
Mr. Boyd would like to subpoena the arresting officer for questioning.

Mr. Boyd would like return of his criminal fines.

Mr. Boyd seeks restitution for wrongful imprisonment at a reward rate of $10,000 per day of time served. The total ask of this claim is $60,000.

Mr. Boyd also request that the arresting officer, if found acted outside of his ethical duties in this matter, receive a judgement to be paid to Mr. Boyd of $25,000 for pain and suffering, slander, excessive use of force, and psychological trauma.
