Claim:
I was repairing my bike, the guy pulled in with a beat up car to repair, the cop pulled up next to him asking why he was driving with no lights on, he told the officer his car was beat so he was pulling over there at a public repair shop to fix his lights, the officer asked about the lights 3 times and got the same response, The persons car was beat so he couldnt turn them on, he even repaired the car for the cop turned the lights on and broke them so the officer could see it, the cop never once initiated an actual traffic stop, he never got out his vehicle, he never asked for id, at that point their conversation stopped so i chimed in and reiterated what the driver said, and he the driver started saying it as well his car was broke so he came here to repair it like he is supposed to do, The cop never said move away this is a traffic stop or anything, The cop then got out of his vehicle and approached me stating i was under arrest for illegal lights and driving an illegal vehicle, he later changed my charges to resisting and obstructing a traffic stop that never happened. The officers even stated that i was right about my vehicle not being illegal or the lights, nor was i resisting.
The cop also slammed me to the ground and never asked if i needed medical, i hurt my jaw and my hip and got no medical attention.
