by Deno Capone
Complaint Type: General Dispute

Plaintiff: Deno Capone

Self Rep: no

Lawyer Name: Public Defender

Respondent: LSPD

Claim:
On 12/21/2025 I, Deno Capone, walked into the store next to the 24/7 pawn shop to get a donut and a bottle of water. Upon exiting the store i was ran up to by 3 cops claiming the store was being robbed. The arresting cop, callsign B1-42, told me the alarm was going off but in my ears I didn't hear an alarm. She then searched me on account of a shotgun on my back, which led to them searching my car and taking all my possesions legal and illegal. I was fined $25k for possesion of marijuana and sentenced to 18 days in jail. I am arguing that, because i didn't hear an alarm, this was an illegal search and seizure. If i had heard the alarm I would have never walked into the store with so much weed on my person and car let alone with a shotgun on my back. I offered to show the officer my bodycam to which she refused. My bodycam doesn't pickup my comments unfortunately but you can hear in evidence 1 that she asks me whether or not i hear the alarm and that the store was just robbed. You can clearly hear my in-city audio with no alarm. In evidence 3, you can hear the officer say "Im sorry Mr. Capone, this is just how it had to be" which I believe suggests strong anti-Italianism rhetoric. In evidence 2 you can hear an uninvolved officer ask the 3 original officers if I was arrested illegaly and you can clearly hear one officer say "How about you mind your business". Us Italians would consider all these evidences pointing to a set-up. On top of the fine and jail time, the officers took 3 of my legally owned weapons, countless supplies, and 3 bricks of high grade weed. Following the release of Deno Capone, the Capone family put out an ad on redwood asking for any witnesses near the 24/7 pawn shop and received multiple texts and calls from passerby's also claiming they didn't hear an alarm. A Capone family member would never be so naive to walk into a store being robbed and stain their record in such a petty way, and demands retribution for such an insult to Capone intelligence.

Demand:
The Capone family is demanding Deno Capone be cleared of this offense and compensated fairly for all possesions lost. This includes a $25,000 fine, $40,000 worth of weed, another $10,000 worth of LEGAL weaponry, and $25,000 for money lost in Capone family operations due to the 18 days spent in prison for a total of $100,000.
